Goodbye, Vacation

I'm back from a nice, long vacation to the beach, near St. Augustine in Florida. I made the most of the trip and not only got to spend a week with Jeanette and her family, but also got to see nearly every relative I have in the state (which is a lot, since I'm from there). The sunburns were kept to a minimum (mostly just one forgotten thigh on my last day there)—quite unusual for me. I usually can't manage to burn less than 80% of my body on a given day at the beach, whether I attempt to sunscreen or no.

It was a great trip, and I'm glad I got to see so much of my family. One interesting thing about the trip was that, having been in San Francisco for about a month a half, there was a certain segment of the American population that I had become unused to seeing. It was a bit jarring to step off the airplane at the Atlanta airport and see men with non-ironic moustaches and NASCAR t-shirt's, their lady friends sporting big hairdos, and their children proud of their rat-tails. You just don't get much of that in San Francisco (for which I'm thankful). But the South certainly has its pluses. For one, parking is available everywhere. For two, well... one would probably have to see before and after photos of my belly to understand how well I ate this week.

Jeanette's family will probably be reading this, so I can't say all the terrible things I'd like to say about them, which makes this a pretty boring post. Anyway, blogging shall now resume with regularity.

that picture so does not do your crispy leg justice. you really have to see it in person to appreciate the ridiculousness of that burn and your tanlines.

Nice seeing you back in Brandon. Jeanette is a cutie, so stop prefacing your future plans with lame shit like "if we're still together..."

Many thanks for the replacement keychain. You're the best. Now return my call about your Rolling Stone address issue, or I'm just going to have it forwarded to your house. I'm sure your mom is dying to know the latest news about Kanye West and Ashlee Simpson.
