i wonder if that's just an oversight of whatever automatic emailing program vandy has for its alumni, or if it's sent intentionally to make you feel bad about not giving so much as a dime to your alma mater. i hope it's the latter, because that's just brilliant (though i doubt it'd really work on you...your heart-strings aren't so easily pulled).

I really hope that I get a tax deduction form for a $0 contribution. If so, I vow to file it next year.

my sister and i both went to vandy. before reading our blog this morning, i posted about that ridiculous email recognizing my $0.00 contribution and after posting, realized she had already posted about it as well. um, hellooo, we went to vandy. we won't be able to give back any money for at least 5-10 years, depending on the loan situation.
