Nation needs bathroom break from Bush

This has been all over the blogs, and is way late by now, but I still haven't seen anyone in my circle post about it. So, on the off-chance that any of you don't read any hard news blogs (and I mean hard news in the broadest possible sense--including Wonkette, etc), I'm posting it. I think it's hilarious.

Bush wrote and passed the following memo to Condi during a UN Security Council meeting last week: "I think I may need a bathroom break. Is this possible?"

First of all, poop is funny. Second, it's funny that Bush doesn't know enough about the U.N. Security Council to know whether or not he can take a bathroom break. Third, is Condi his mommy or what?

Apparently, the photographer is taking a lot of flak for this being supposedly disrespectful to the President or whatever. I'm not a huge privacy nut in the first place, but I definitely think that the higher up in public office one gets, the less one has an expectation or right to privacy. If the government were as transparent as I'd like, the White House would have shower cams and the WHPC would have daily briefings on the status of the President's bowels.

First time I saw this on the blogosphere, I thought it was photoshopped. This is actually the real deal? Wow.....

REPORTER: Scott, what can you tell us about the state of the president's bowels today?

MCCLELLAN: Mike, that's a great question. The president dropped a deuce at 0950 this morning, in between his daily security briefing and a meeting with the German foreign minister. It took him approximately fifteen minutes, and required 23 squares of the Charmin Ultra the president has lately taken to using.

REPORTER: Scott, a follow-up, if I may. Does the president foresee a BM later in the day? He's well-known, of course, for taking the Browns to the Super Bowl late afternoon, right before his nap. Is this a one-time thing, or will the president be switching to morning dumps full-time?

MCCLELLAN: Mike, I think that's a two-parter. When I last spoke with the president regarding the dump he took this morning, he indicated to me that he wasn't planning on switching from the late afternoon shit to the morning shit, so I think this is just a one-time thing. Also, as far as I know, the president's not planning on dropping the Cosby kids off at the pool again today. Okay, everyone, that's a full lid. Have a great day.
