Southern Baptist Resolution and VCR Man

Southern Baptist Convention considers adopting some nutty resolution.

In the article, it says that last year the Southern Baptist Convention considered a resolution to encourage all Southern Baptists to remove their children from public schools.

Consider that for a minute. That would be great! We'd quit getting all the bitching and lawsuits about prayer in schools, evolution is only a theory and no more valid than creationism, adolescents shouldn't have to read so-called literature that features explicit language or the idea that sex exists, etc. That alone is a huge benefit. But there's something I like even better:

Southern Baptists would start becoming less and less educated. They'd start getting worse and worse jobs. They'd get poorer and poorer. They'd stop being an economic force. They'd vote in fewer numbers. Politicians would stop pandering to them. In short, it would be the start of the natural decline of conservative protestants. Evolution (the fact) would eventually kill them out.

I don't really think they should all die out. I just want them to be more moderate and stop controlling shit.

Oh, and check out this silly little face I made last night out of a broken VCR that I took apart. The mouth actually opens and closes (and accepts VHS format tapes). Yay for not having a job or friends in Tampa!
